Spring 2021 Collection Released!

My Spring 2021 Soy Candle and Wax Melt Collection has finally been released! March 10th is the big day and I am so happy with the new products.

Let's face it. It's been a tough winter. COVID, cold weather, lack of sunshine, rainy days, fear, isolation. We've had it all. In late January, I had to start thinking about what the spring line would feel like. Not an easy task when you're being inundated with wintery vibes of solitude. I meditated on feelings attached to certain aromas and browsed through fragrance combinations, reminding myself of the uplifting energy of Spring. I kept telling myself, this too shall pass.

I found myself drawn to beach breezes, the warmth of the sand, the beginning perks of daffodils and spring flowers. I continually toyed with blends that felt new, invigorating, and energetic. I lingered on combinations that made me feel connected to family and friends again while others reminded me of sunshine and new life.

Soy Candles and Wax Melts

I settled on Seaside Linen, Mint Mojito, Orange Blossom, Sea Salt Mist, and Cactus Flower.

Seaside Linen found its way into the collection as I searched for a cotton aroma that was grounded in an earthy vibe. With additional notes of Iris, Violet, Powder, and Sandalwood, Seaside Linen took it's place in the 2021 lineup.

Mint Mojito had a happy hour feel that reminded me of gatherings with friends and family. It's a twist on a classic beach cocktail with strong notes of Spearmint, coupled with Pineapple, Apple, Orange, Lime, and of course, RUM! It also has some light hints of Coconut and Vanilla because.. well.. Coconut and Vanilla!

Orange Blossom wasn't part of my initial lineup. After first experimenting with a White Sage and Lavender blend that flopped terribly, I moved toward a combination of fruit and floral with Lemon Verbena. The fragrance burned perfectly during testing but when my husband asked me why I "made a candle that smelled like Pledge," I knew it wasn't meant to be. It was then that I went back to the drawing board and Orange Blossom was born. I am so happy with the mistakes that brought me to Orange Blossom because it's truly amazing. It was an instant hit with its upscale aroma that combines sweet, delicate, and fresh notes all into one. Starting with Neroli, it melds into Bergamot, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, and Petitgrain with a touch of Sandalwood at the base.

Sea Salt Mist is one I've been testing for some time and I finally nailed it! It's a unique take on an oceanic aroma that combines notes of salt and floral. Starting with the textures of Sea Salt, it blends beautifully into the aroma of Jasmine and Orchid while settling into hints of Tonka Bean and creamy Coconut.

Lastly, Cactus Flower has been an all time favorite in other products such as my Lotion Sticks. I just can't get enough of this blend and I knew I wanted a floral fragrance that wasn't overwhelmingly floral but still felt like spring. This fragrance exudes liveliness and reminds me of spring buds emerging from their winter slumber. It starts with notes of watery Aloe and sweet Agave that flow into Green Leaves, Chrysanthemum, and a touch of Patchouli.
