Organic Garlic Chive Seeds harvested in 2020. They have a flavor between an onion and garlic with flat leaves that can be cut for salads, spreads, garnishments, or used to replace scallions in a variety of dishes.
Garlic Chives are a perennial plant (zones 3-10) which means, once planted, they come back every year. They are very hardy and easy to care for, growing to a height between 18-24 inches. They can be started indoors or sown directly into soil or containers outside after the last frost. They take 80-90 days to mature and prefer full sun. If sown outside, I recommend keeping them contained in a pot or they will spread and take over.
During the season, they look like tufts of grass. Later in the season, they will go sprout lovely white flowers which contain seeds so they will propagate and multiply on their own if allowed.
